Boy meets girl, but in this case, the situation is slightly different. Kate is attracted to machos and Steve calls himself a feminist. The two meet at a costume party, fall in love and want to get married − but on the day of the wedding, everything goes catastrophically out of control...
In the fast-paced comedy How To Date A Feminist, London author Samantha Ellis treats with a wink the current debates about emancipation processes, role clichés, and the important question of whether men can really be feminists. All the characters in the play are played by ensemble actress Yvon Jansen and house director Rafael Sanchez, who both direct and are a couple in private.

“For 95% of Germans, the word feminism is a swear word. If at a job interview, you would say that you are a feminist, it was as if you said that you were pregnant with triplets and are a sympathizer of the Islamic State. The term begets fear. Fear makes you stupid, and stupidity blocks logical thinking. Therefore, one doesn’t get too far by using accurate data! However, a comedy allows for a relaxed approach of this topic. And once you relax, you can start to discuss things constructively. The absurdity of comedy reveals at best the unexpected.”
